We are excited to announce that "Italian Poetry and Ecology," a special issue of Delos: A Journal of Translation and World Literature, Vol. 41, N. 1 is now available. Published by the University  

 of Florida, the volume is edited by Jess Beasley, Gabriele Belletti, and Silvia Valisa.  

The anthology presents, in the original Italian and in English translation, some 

of the most significant voices in contemporary Italian poetry, representing 

different generations and poetic traditions. Through poetry, translation, critical 

reflection, and visual art, the volume explores ecological crisis, environmental memory, landscape, multispecies relations, and the need to cultivate renewed forms of attention toward more-than-human worlds.

Prisca Agustoni, Antonella Anedda, Franco Arminio, Bianca Battilocchi, Ilaria Boffa, Dome Bulfaro, Giorgiomaria Cornelio, Massimo D'Arcangelo, Tiziano Fratus, Mariangela Gualtieri, Paola Loreto, Teodora Mastrototaro, Francesca Matteoni, Matteo Meloni, Fabio Orecchini, Cristiano Poletti, Laura Pugno, Fabio Pusterla, Ivan Schiavone, Francesco Maria Terzago e Italo Testa. 

The issue opens with a preface by Ann Fisher-Wirth, poet, scholar, Mississippi Poet Laureate, and co-editor of two landmark anthologies of ecopoetry in the United States. It concludes with a postface by Forrest Gander, Pulitzer-prize winning poet, translator, and essayist.

The volume also includes artwork by Debora Antonello, Silvia Scaringella, and Ruggero Maggi.
