The CAIS 2026 conference is a meeting point for all scholars of Italian Studies.
While the conference welcomes submissions on all aspects of Italian Studies, we particularly encourage proposals that address contemporary developments in Italian culture and in higher education. Core themes continue to remain pedagogy, applied linguistics, culture, literature, cinema, theatre, Italian as a second or as a foreign, Italian history, economy, migration and the arts. Language.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with Zoom sessions and with in-person attendance at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
